Restaurant Eating

The FDA requires restaurants to make their nutrition facts available in writing on request. Many restaurants include this on their website and they usually include calories, calories from fat, fat grams, % of daily values, saturated fat, trans fats, cholesterol, sodium, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, sugars and protein.  They may even include the % of daily values of vitamins and other nutrients.  This is a fantastic tool for healthy restaurant eating!  Just pull up the nutrition information ahead of time and choose the foods that fit into your diet plan!

Didn't plan on eating out but a hectic schedule demands it?  There's an app for that!  Find an app that provides nutrition information for your go-to eateries and load it on your phone.  You will always be able to choose the right item at the right restaurant.

While the FDA requires this information be available, we have been to restaurants that didn't have it.  In these instances you will have to rely on your knowledge to make the best choice.
